And it’s a really great thing to be able to do for any job because imagine having to go everywhere with someone that can translate for you or with paper to write or trying to read lips and just going to grab a cup of coffee and Hey, the barista knows sign language. They aren’t great but you get to speak with them and order your coffee in the way that’s natural to you like that would just make your day. Or a teacher that can talk and sign so classes don’t have to divide?? Or a therapist that can sign?? Hearing people signing 2k15 honestly.

HIGH SCHOOLERS ‼️‼️ COMMUNITY COLLEGE IS OKAY!!

Please don’t ever let anyone shame you for attending.

Community College is actually one of the smartest decisions you can make for yourself especially if you still aren’t sure what you want to major in.

  • The obvious reason is that community college is cheaper. So you can get all your required classes out of the way for cheap
  • Because it’s cheaper you can explore more areas of interest to try and narrow down your major, so when you’re ready to head to University (and spend the big bucks) you won’t be there longer than you need to
  • Community College classes are usually easier which is good for those required classes that you have no interest in and just want to get through.
  • I personally think it’s bullshit having high school kids who are used to being in a controlled environment and having their hands held thrown right into college where they are pretty much left to take care of everything themselves. Community College is a good middle ground in my opinion. Actually my community college has been referred to as the “13th grade” because it doesn’t throw students right into the University experience. There is still a good amount of hand holding which I don’t think is wrong. You can’t jump from one extreme to another and expect students to be able to adabt immediately.
  • Community College is great for students who didn’t have the best grades in High School. You can use the two years (or less) to improve your University applications so you can get into those more competitive schools!

This is so true, I WISH I had gone to community College at the beginning. Plus it’s generally easier to transfer into the schools you want than applying straight out of high school
